We are also looking for students to help in the day-to-day operations. Maybe you would like to make a bulletin board or other display? Perhaps you’d like to “adopt” a shelf and see to its care and feeding? How about a peek behind the scenes as you help add new materials to the collection? Even if you only have 30 minutes to spare, the library has a task that might be just right for you. See Ms. Owen to find out more.
Do you know of an awesome book, film or other item that the library absolutely ought to have? You can submit your requests here!
The Thetford Academy Library Advisory Board (TA-LAB) is comprised of students in grades 7-12 who get together to discuss the library and its programs and brainstorm ways to make it even better. To qualify for TA-LAB you must have demonstrated interest and commitment to the power of awesome libraries. See Ms. Owen for more info!
The TA Library wants to offer events for students that awaken your mind, tickle your funny bone, spark your creativity or simply let you have fun. Do you have an idea for a cool event or series of events to have in the library? Speak to Ms. Owen!
Are you curious? Do you have a hobby or a favorite subject to learn about? The TA Library is looking for students to share their passions by creating lists of useful resources about almost anything. For example, if you love fishing we would love to have you help us gather together great books, websites and even local info to share with other students who might be interested in the same things you are. You may write about an existing interest or you may choose a new topic to explore. Not sure where to start? Ask Ms. Owen for more info!
The TA Library needs students who enjoy reading to read new books as they come in and write brief reviews in comments on this website. After you leave five comment reviews you become eligible to be a guest blogger and we will feature your reviews in new stories on this website. See or email Ms. Owen for more info!
